For 25 years, the International Festival of Dance has been showcasing dance academies, colleges, troupes and other dance organizations from all over the world. Organized, in part, by some of Taiwan’s leading dance schools and the Department of Culture, the festival brings some of the best dancers and choreographies to Taipei in order to unite the dance scene and promote fine arts in Taipei. The festival will be held at the Taipei Culture Center City Stage July 18-21.

This year, the festival has invited eight different schools to give their best performers a chance to flaunt their unique styles of dance over the course of three days (July 18-20). The last day is reserved for a Gala event where many of the groups will perform together.

The performance schedule for the festival will be:

July 18 (Wed) 19:30
Purchase College | Beijing Dance Academy

July 19 (Thur) 19:30
The Queensland University of Technology Creative Industries | Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts | The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts

July 20 (Fri) 19:30
Taipei National University of the Art | Kobe College | The University of Auckland

July 21 (Sat) 19:30
Gala

All of the performances cost NT$600 and tickets can be purchase online at the official Taipei Cultural Center Ticket Website here.
